What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord's son requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of August 31, 2022. The Tenant must move out by this date. If not vacated, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting September 1, 2022. The Tenant must pay $55.89 per day from November 15, 2021, until move-out.
