What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $4,486 by March 31, 2023 or $6,436 by April 23, 2023 to void the order. If the Tenants do not void the order, they must move out by April 23, 2023 and pay the Landlord $1,543.25, plus $64.11 per day in compensation starting March 15, 2023.
