What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their behavior seriously impairing the safety of others in the residential complex. The Landlord served an N7 notice on the Tenants, and a fire department inspection found serious fire and life safety issues in the rental unit.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective December 31, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the unit by March 13, 2022 and pay the Landlord $1,493.23 in compensation for use of the unit from January 1 to March 8, 2022. If the Tenant does not vacate by March 13, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
