What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving valid Notices to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice) and Persistent Late Payment (N8 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy shall terminate effective February 29, 2024. The Tenants are ordered to pay $21,558.91 to the Landlord for rent arrears and costs on or before February 29, 2024. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by the due date, they will start to owe interest on any unpaid amounts beginning March 1, 2024 at a rate of 7.00% annually. If the unit is not vacated by February 29, 2024, the Landlord may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement.
