What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because they require possession of the rental unit for personal use for at least one year. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 31, 2023. The Tenant must pay $546.91 to the Landlords for compensation of unit use from August 1, 2022 to February 8, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $19.30 per day from February 9, 2023 until move-out.
