What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing until after it had concluded.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $8,601.00 by September 19, 2022. If not voided, the Tenant must move out by September 19, 2022, and pay $4,733.77 plus $46.03 per day from August 10, 2022, until move-out. Even if the Tenant pays the full amount, the tenancy will still terminate on a non-remedial basis due to persistent late payments.
