What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant or someone permitted by Tenant wilfully or negligently causing undue damage to the rental unit, and substantially interfering with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated as of August 26, 2020 when the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $1,644.44 for the cost of repairs and $190 for the application fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 15, 2022, they will owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
