What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant had not paid rent since November 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 25, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $1,320.75 for use of the unit from January 1 to February 14, 2022, and $29.35 per day from February 15, 2022 until the Tenant vacates. The Tenant must also pay the $186 application fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 25, 2022, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
