What happened
Landlords applied to terminate tenancy and evict Tenants for allegedly seriously impairing safety by smoking cannabis in the residential complex yard. Tenants agreed to stop smoking on the property, and a consent order was issued without eviction.
The ruling
The Board issued a consent order prohibiting the Tenants from smoking in the rental unit or residential complex, including the yard. The Landlords' application for eviction was not granted, as there was insufficient evidence of serious safety impairment.
