What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remains in the unit after the termination date.

The Board denied the Tenant's request to dismiss the application on a preliminary basis, finding that the Landlords have standing to bring the application. The hearing of this application will proceed for a hearing of the merits.
