What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent, persistent late payment of rent, and substantial interference with a lawful right of the Landlord.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated as of April 30, 2021, and the Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before June 15, 2021. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $13,211.99, which represents the amount of rent owing up to April 30, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest the Landlord owes on the rent deposit, and less the $1,000.00 pet deposit. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord compensation for the use of the unit from May 1, 2021 to the date the Tenants move out, and the cost of filing the application.
