What happened
Landlords filed two applications: one for personal use of the rental unit (L2) and another for non-payment of rent (L1). The Landlords sought to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants, claiming they required the unit for their own residential occupation and that the Tenants owed rent.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective December 31, 2022. Tenants must pay $18,861.48 in rent arrears by December 31, 2022. If not vacated by December 31, 2022, Landlords may file for eviction enforcement starting January 1, 2023. Tenants to pay $75.62 per day for any occupancy after December 31, 2022.
