What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant had not paid the rent for January 2020.

The ruling

The order is limited to costs only and not eviction. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $175.00 for the cost of filing the application, with $87.50 due on or before November 30, 2020 and $87.50 due on or before December 31, 2020. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 31, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance starting January 1, 2021.
