What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment of the Landlord in a building with three or fewer residential units where the Landlord resides. The Tenant's loud arguments, violent altercations, and frequent noise disturbances were cited as reasons for the application.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 13, 2022, due to the Tenant's substantial interference with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment. The Tenant must vacate the unit by this date or face eviction by the Sheriff. The Tenant is ordered to pay $34.52 per day for use of the unit from April 6, 2022, until move-out, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also reimburse the Landlord $186.00 for the application filing fee.
