What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Landlord's good faith requirement of the rental unit for their own residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 14, 2022. The Tenant must move out by this date. If the unit is not vacated by November 14, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,575.75, which includes $4,389.75 in compensation for use of the unit from May 1, 2022 to October 5, 2022, and $186 for the application filing costs. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $27.95 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting October 6, 2022 until the Tenant moves out.
