What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlords require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for their child for a period of at least one year. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective December 31, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlords $2,948.80, which includes compensation for use of the unit, the application filing fee, and interest if amounts are not paid by the due date. The eviction may be enforced by the Sheriff if the Tenant does not vacate by the termination date.
