What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy of Tenant and for compensation for the use of the rental unit by Unauthorized Occupants. The Tenant had terminated the tenancy on January 4, 2021 but the Unauthorized Occupants remained in possession of the unit.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant is terminated. The Unauthorized Occupants shall move out of the rental unit on or before November 9, 2021. The Landlord shall apply the last month's rent deposit and interest to the last month of the tenancy. The Unauthorized Occupants shall pay the Landlord compensation of $28.77 per day for the use of the unit from August 20, 2021 to the date they move out, and the cost of filing the application.
