What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The L2 application is dismissed. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $500.00 on or before October 8, 2023. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by the due date, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 7.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
