What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord's daughter requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by April 2, 2023. The Tenant is ordered to pay $18,823.80 for use of the unit from February 1, 2020 to March 22, 2023, plus $16.44 per day until move-out. If not vacated by April 2, 2023, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
