What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord has entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 3, 2023. The Tenant must vacate by this date. The Landlord agreed to waive all monies owed if the Tenant vacates by the termination date. If the Tenant does not vacate, they will owe $1,394.48 plus daily compensation of $36.16 from January 4, 2023, until they move out.
