What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation by her. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before November 30, 2021. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,195.14 for use of the unit from September 1, 2021 to October 28, 2021, and $72.33 per day for use of the unit from October 29, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 30, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
