What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. Tenant filed an application about maintenance issues in the rental unit.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective May 30, 2020. The Tenant is ordered to pay $11,910.88 to the Landlords, which includes rent arrears up to the termination date and the cost of filing the application. The Tenant shall pay the full amount owing by December 21, 2020, and if the Tenant does not pay by that date, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
