What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to allegations of the Tenant assaulting a neighbour, threatening to burn down the residential complex, and wilfully causing damage to the rental unit and residential complex through flooding incidents.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 10, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the unit by this date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlords may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlords $3,554.97, which includes compensation for use of the unit, the application filing fee, less the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 10, 2023, they will owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
