What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing despite proper notice. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified amounts. If not voided, the Tenant must move out by December 2, 2022, and pay $8,047.46 plus $32.05 per day from August 5, 2022, until move-out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting December 3, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
