What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $10,836.00 by July 31, 2022 to void the order and continue the tenancy. If the Tenants do not pay, they must move out by July 31, 2022 and pay the Landlords $8,646.54, plus $40.27 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting July 8, 2022.
