What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlords served a Notice of Termination effective October 22, 2021. The Tenants had not paid the total rent required from January 1, 2020 to February 28, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 18, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying $44,636.00 by that date. Tenants must pay Landlords $35,186.00 for rent arrears and filing costs. If not paid, Landlords may file for eviction enforcement from February 19, 2022. The eviction order expires on August 19, 2022, if not filed with the Sheriff.
