What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlords have entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit, and the purchaser in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2022. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by this date. If not vacated, the Landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction enforcement starting October 1, 2022. The eviction order expires on April 1, 2023, if not filed with the Court Enforcement Office by that date.
