What happened

Landlords applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent that the Tenants owe. The Tenants did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from December 1, 2022 to August 16, 2023.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlords $9,986.85, which includes rent arrears up to August 16, 2023 and the cost of the application, minus the rent deposit and interest owing. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by January 15, 2024, they will start owing interest at 7.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
