The ruling
The Landlords shall pay the Tenants $14,500 that was illegally retained and $96.67 in last month's rent deposit interest, for a total of $14,596.67 to be paid by May 1, 2023. If the Landlords do not pay the full amount by the due date, they will owe simple interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
