What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 31, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the unit by this date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlords may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement starting June 1, 2023. The Tenant owes $9,886 in rent arrears and costs. The Tenant must make payments towards the arrears on June 2, June 16, and July 30. If the Tenant makes these payments, the Landlords will waive $2,000 off the total arrears. The remaining balance is due on June 30, 2023 and will accrue 6% annual interest starting July 1, 2023.
