What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective July 31, 2021. The Tenants failed to pay rent for the period from June 1, 2021 to November 30, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 18, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying $9,932.24 by that date. Tenants must pay $8,604.07 for rent arrears and compensation up to January 7, 2022, plus $50.74 per day from January 8, 2022 until they move out. Tenants must also pay $186.00 for the application filing fee. If full payment is not made by January 18, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting January 19, 2022.
