What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to damage caused to the garage door by Tenant's vehicle. Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay $1854.05 for repairs within 20 days, failing which the Landlord may apply to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants. Tenants must also pay $48.67 per day for use of the unit from January 26, 2022 until they move out. If payment is not made and the unit not vacated by January 25, 2022, the Landlord may enforce eviction through the Court Enforcement Office.
