What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant was absent from the hearing, reportedly due to incarceration. The Landlord had made attempts to work with the Tenant and enter into payment plans, but the Tenant failed to make payments.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $6,211.00 by August 22, 2022. If not voided, the Tenant must vacate by August 22, 2022, and pay $4,700.22 plus $12.82 per day from July 22, 2022, until move-out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting August 23, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
