What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant had not paid $945 of the total rent owed for the period from August 1, 2014 to October 31, 2014. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective September 23, 2014 due to the rent arrears.

The ruling

The Tenant was granted a payment plan to pay the rent arrears and application fee over a 6-month period, with the first 3 months' rent payments delayed to allow the Tenant to get her finances back on track. The Tenant was informed that failure to comply with the payment plan would result in the Landlord being able to apply for an eviction order without further notice.
