What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The tenant had not attended the hearings.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 1, 2022. The Tenant must pay $12,624.90 plus $20.58 per day starting February 19, 2022 to the Landlord. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 1, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant can void the order by paying $12,862.00 by February 28, 2022 or $13,488.00 by March 1, 2022.
