What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment. Landlords also claimed they require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 20, 2024. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $20,005.02, which includes rent arrears, application fee, and daily compensation for occupying the unit after the termination date. If the Tenants do not pay by July 20, 2024, the Landlords can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
