What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord and Tenants participated in mediation and agreed to an Order on Consent.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay to the Landlord $14,101.00 for arrears of rent up to March 31, 2023 and costs, in accordance with the specified payment schedule. The Tenants shall also pay to the Landlord new rent on time and in full as it comes due and owing for the period April 1, 2023 to June 1, 2025 or until the arrears are paid in full, whichever date is earliest. If the Tenants fail to make any one of the payments, the outstanding balance shall become immediately due and owing and the Landlord may apply to the LTB for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenants.
