What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 23, 2021 unless the Tenant pays the outstanding amount by that date to void the order. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,438.22 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $48.69 per day starting February 24, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. The Tenant must also pay the $175 application fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 23, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
