What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Landlord requiring possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation. The application was filed after the Landlord served a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Landlord's or Purchaser's Own Use (N12 Notice).
The ruling
The request to review the original order was granted. The termination date in the original order was found to contain a serious error, as the Board failed to allow the standard 11 days' notice to the parties. The tenancy is now terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the rental unit by January 31, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
