What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord has entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 31, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the unit by this date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant owes the Landlord $3,489.30 in compensation for use of the unit from March 1, 2022 to July 11, 2022, less any rent paid during this period. The Tenant also owes $26.30 per day from July 12, 2022 until the move-out date.
