What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit on the hearing date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $8,736 by July 31, 2022 or $9,786 by August 31, 2022. If the Tenant does not void the order, the Tenant must move out by August 31, 2022 and pay the Landlords $7,429.96 plus daily compensation of $34.52 per day starting June 24, 2022 until the Tenant moves out.
