What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation by her daughter for at least one year. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 3, 2023. Tenants must pay $13,632.88 to the Landlord for compensation of use and occupation, plus $105.21 per day from March 10, 2023 until they move out. Tenants must also pay $186.00 for the Landlord's application filing cost. If the unit is not vacated by April 3, 2023, the Landlord may file this order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
