What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The tenants were not present at the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 2, 2020. The Tenants must pay $16,681.06 plus $52.60 per day starting October 23, 2020 to the Landlords. If the Tenants pay $17,532.20 on or before November 2, 2020, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy will continue.
