What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective June 28, 2021. Tenants failed to pay rent from May 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 16, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying $5,021.51 by that date. Tenants must pay $4,470.64 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $186.00 for application filing costs. Daily compensation of $54.19 applies from January 6, 2022, until Tenants move out. If full payment is not made by January 16, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
