What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payment. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless Tenants void the order by paying $5,517.36 by March 14, 2022. If payment is not made, Tenants must move out by March 14, 2022. Tenants owe $3,470.80 plus $31.40 per day from March 4, 2022, until they move out. If Tenants void the rent arrears portion, they must pay full rent on time for 12 months starting April 1, 2022.
