What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent owed. Tenant had vacated the rental unit on March 31, 2022, prior to the hearing date. Tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $1,634.36, which includes rent arrears up to March 1, 2022, and the cost of the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 11, 2022, interest will start accruing at 4.00% annually on the outstanding balance from November 12, 2022.
