What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlords $11,550 in rent arrears and $186 in application costs, for a total of $11,736. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 1, 2021, interest will start to accrue at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
