What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, and the Tenants did not void the notice by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 31, 2022. The Tenants must move out by this date. The Tenants owe the Landlord $1,928.92 as of the hearing date, plus daily compensation of $42.84 for each day the Tenants remain in the unit after July 11, 2022. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owed by July 31, 2022, they will start owing interest at 3% annually on the outstanding balance.
