What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 31, 2022. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before October 31, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Tenants owe the Landlord $2,386 for September rent and the application filing fee, plus daily compensation of $75.62 from October 1, 2022 until the move-out date. If the full amount is not paid by October 31, 2022, the Tenants will owe interest at 4% annually on the outstanding balance.
