What happened

Tenants applied for an order determining that Landlord failed to meet maintenance obligations and collected money illegally. Main issues were mould in the basement, repairs to ceiling fan and central vacuum, and alleged illegal rent collection.

The ruling

The Landlord is ordered to pay Tenants $3,723.75 for rent abatement and mould assessment costs. The Landlord must repair the ceiling fan, window screen, and begin mould remediation by February 6, 2018. Tenants' request for tenancy termination was denied.
